A Big Krug (Round) of Cossack troops of Russia and abroad has taken place in Moscow (Russia).The President of Russia Advisor, Hero of Russia Guennadi Nikolaevich Troshev opened the round. He announced greetings of the President Vladimir Putin and greetings of the FSC, militia, governors.
Leading Cossack organizations of Ukraine were invited to the round: the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks, headed by their Hetman Anatoli Shevchenko, and an international organization "Cossack Troop", headed by their Hetman Dmitri Sagaidak.
Krug (Round) considered the Law on Cossacks and Decree of the President of Russia on creating Central Cossack Troop. The Cossacks thanked Vladimir Putin and deputies of Gosduma for their concern about development of Cossacks in Russia. Valeri Ivanovich Nalimov was unanimously appointed Verkhovny (chief) Ataman of Central Cossack Troop, a regular troop general, who was also head deputy of the commission on problems of development of the civil society and civil security CRO RF.
In their speeches Anatoli Shevchenko and Dmitri Sagaidak congratulated Cossacks of Russia on beginning of the XII Big Krug, proposed cooperation between Cossacks of Ukraine and those of Russia in various spheres of activity: business, science, culture. They also noted a special rile of modern Cossack movement in establishing mutual relations between the Ukrainian and the Russian peoples.
