1st of December, 2009 in the Kiev Patriarchy there took place a meeting of Patriarch Philaret with representatives of the Ukrainian public organization “Ukrainian Registered Cossacks”, representatives of the militarized army KAITSELIIT, the president of the Ukrainian Organizations Association in Estonia Vladimir Iakovlevich Palamar and the representatives of the other Ukrainian organizations in Estonia.

As the press centre of the Kiev Patriarchy informs, they discussed questions about relationship between both states. Patriarch Philaret told about realities of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine and about the past of people in the communistic camp. Hierarch wished all them peace, God’s blessing and further friendly relations between Ukraine and Estonia. Patriarch Philaret awarded V. Palamar with St. Nikolay Chudotvorets order.
