On March 15, 2007 the greatest in the world annual exhibition of Information and telecommunication technologies CEBIT-2007 began its work in the capital of Federal Land Lower Saxony , in the city of Gannover ( North Germany) in an exhibition complex of the concern Deuche Messe AG. A joint exposition of Ukraine was located in the pavilion #6 “Business Processes”. On its stands the leading scientific and educational institutions of Ukraine were represented, such as Institute of Cybernetics after V.M.Glushkov, International Scientific-Study Center of information technologies and systems, attached to the NAS and MES of Ukraine, the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI”, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems, attached to the MES and NAS of Ukraine, Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.

This year one could see more than 10 thousand exhibits from 70 countries of the world and more than a million of visitors at the exhibition. The work of the exhibition was saturated and fruitful. The Stand of Ukraine was in popular demand among the visitors. According to a tradition the International Scientific Conference “Development of Information Telecommunication Technologies and Development of Information Society in Ukraine” was held during the work of the joint exposition of Ukraine at the International exhibition of information and telecommunication technologies CEBIT 2007. Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Problems, Hetman of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine Anatoli Ivanovich Shevchenko spoke at the conference with a report “Speech and Image Recognition in Artificial Intelligence Systems”. Developments of the Institute of artificial Intelligence, which were presented at the exhibition on the stand of Ukraine, arose great interest among the visitors. These developments were presented by various signal systems, image recognition systems, multimedia training programs etc.

The exhibition CEBIT 2007 is called an international fair of information technologies, telecommunications and software. Participation in the exhibition is a unique chance to impart modern business processes, to establish fruitful business relations with the leading IT companies of the world. Developments of the Ukrainian organizations and enterprises caused interest in representatives of foreign companies and businesses. During the work of the exhibition members of the Ukrainian delegation have established a lot of useful contacts, concluded a number of agreements.
