An international scientific and practical conference " Tolerance and Spirituality in the Ukrainian Society and Modern Understanding of the Problem of Anti-Semitism and Xenophobia " is to be held in Donetsk in October of 2005. The initiators of conducting the conference are: The Ukrainian Registered Cossacks, All-Ukrainian Party of Spirituality and Patriotism, Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, regional association of Judaic congregations of Donbass, Donetsk State Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Department of Religious Sciences of the Institute of Philosophy of NASU.

As the head of the organizing committee Hetman of the URC and the head of the APSP Anatoli Shevchenko noted, the purpose of the conference is to analyze the current state and the problems connected with theoretical and practical aspects of tolerance in the Ukrainian society, first of all, the problems of anti-Semitism and xenophobia. The Ukrainian Registered Cossacks are supposed to play the leading role in formation of an open tolerant society.

A lot of items of the program of the conference pertain to dialogues between ethnical and religious groups. Discussion of the following topics has been planned: "Cossacks against xenophobia and anti-Semitism: historical analysis of cultural, religious and political stereotypes", "Political experience of the Ukrainian Cossacks in solving the problem of interethnic unity in the process of building a state", " International activity of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks in the system of people diplomacy of today's Ukraine" and many other problems.

In the framework of the conference it is planned to organize a "round table" under the title of "Social and Psychological Peculiarities of Formation of Ideology of Modern Cossacks in Ukraine". It is also planned to organize a press-conference for SMI.
