The Ukrainian Registered Cossacks always embody their slogan “Spirituality and patriotism”, constantly care of a younger generation, and breed the real defenders of Fatherland-Ukraine. In consideration of modern life requirements Registered Cossacks prepare for service in the army of Ukraine not only dzuras and Cossacks, but also girls-Bereguinias.

For that aim on the eve of Fatherland Defender’s Day chairman of URC Hetman’s Administration in Southern Region of Ukraine URC general Oleg Glebov has organised and has spent competition-holiday among pupils of the 11 classes of Odessa gymnasium №4. The future Fatherland defenders have shown their skills in Cossack songs, drilling, masterly use of weapons, time test on putting on of a gas mask and uniform, fast movement with a wounded person, spud-bashing, arm wrestling and etc. During a break of the girls-Bereguinias from the of hand-to-hand fight group which is headed by the general O. Glebov, have shown the unarmed protection defense. The team of the ataman, Vice-sergeant Maxim Andreev became a leader. Winners’ rewarding with UPO URC diplomas became the holiday culmination.
