
Colonel of Militia became a holder of the Cossack order
Retired colonel of Militia, the former chief of the Interior Department of Kharkov, deputy of the Kharkov Regional Council Mikhail Martynov was awarded with “Bronze Cossack cross” of the ²²² degrees. Head of the URC Hetman’s administration of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks, director of the Research Cossacks Center named after hetman Mazepa URC General Nikolay Mazepa informed about this event.
As he said, Mikhail Martynov had worked during 30 years for the criminal investigation department on leading positions; he had opened a lot of criminal cases and saved plenty of human lives. Having retired, colonel Martynov has continued his job, assisting in crime prevention together with the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks.
On Day of militia of Ukraine Ukrainian Registered Cossacks awarded colonel Martynov with one of the higher URC awards for the powerful personal contribution to strengthening of the law and order, and struggle against criminality, support of Cossack movement on crime prevention among the youth. Before only chief of the Security Service of Ukraine, lieutenant general Andrey Mukhataev and chief of the Kharkov Department for Organized Crime Control of Ukraine in the Kharkov Region colonel of militia Vladimir Frolov have received such award.
