January, 2010, within the city competition of children’s drawing on the theme “Heroic epoch of the Cossacks in legends and songs", devoted to the 415th anniversary from the date of Bogdan Khmelnitskiy’s birthday, there took place the first children’s works exhibition in the recently founded "Children’s Club" which activity is directed on psychological support, creative culture, person patriotic education.

At this exhibition there were presented the best works of the fine art studio "100 imaginations” under the direction of Kulinich Natalia Viktorovna, club "Mosaic" of the Frunze district, ceramics studio "Gart" under the direction of Puzanok Victor Ivanovich, and also pupils of "Istok" of the Ordzhonikidze district in Kharkov.

55 works were awarded with URC diplomas and valuable gifts. January 19, 2010 the best children's works were exposed on URC Velyka Rada. Nobody was indifferent to children's creative work.

Assistant to the Head of Hetman’s administration in the East Region major general Piskovatsky Yu.G., major general Gorovoi N.I., lieutenant colonel Vatunya I.I., head of "Children's club”, URC major Kozak O.A and other officers took part in this event.

This exhibition showed a high interest to Cossacks’ history. The next step of following this event will be a travelling exhibition which will be shown in educational institutions in the region, the main aim is youth education in the spirit of patriotism and understanding of their role in historical development of the Ukrainian state and a national idea.
