The visit of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexis the II to Donetchina was planned on 29th July, but because of a state of health of the Patriarch the plans were changed. Instead of him to congratulate the citizens of Donetsk with the 1020th anniversary of the Christening of the Kiev Russia came Blazhennejshy Vladimir Mitropolit Kievsky and All Ukraine UPC MT, Metropolitan Kaluga and Bohrovsky Climent, Metropolitan of Donetsk and Mariupol Ilarion and other clerics. Representatives of the orthodox church met also solemnly and populously in the Cathedral Spaso – Preobrazhenskiy, where the celebratory moleben took place with participation of clerics, representatives of the Ukrainian Registered Cossacks and local authorities.

The visit of Moscow Patriarch Alexis the II to Donetsk is adjourned for the autumn. It will necessarily take place as the representatives of the Moscow patriarchy assured.
